Aponex LaserDx
A modular laser blood-acquisition platform for the point of care, designed for ~0.25 mm access, without a steel lancet.
At a glance
01
Needle-free
Energy-based capillary access
A laser pulse accesses a capillary sample, designed for approximately 0.25 mm, without a steel lancet.
02
Point-of-care
Built for the bedside
Developed for real point-of-care workflows, including neonatal & pediatric testing.
03
Modular
A platform that expands
A bedside dock and cleared-analyzer integration, designed to broaden the menu over time.
The clinical context
Capillary sampling has changed little in decades. Aponex LaserDx accesses a capillary sample with an energy-based laser pulse, designed to be gentler at the point of care, within the device's cleared intended use.
The heel stick is the most frequent painful procedure in the NICU. Aponex is designed to access a capillary sample at approximately 0.25 mm, far shallower than the calcaneal safe-depth limit. Neonatal & pediatric testing is a target of our upcoming development and regulatory pipeline.
How it works →
The platform
Start with the cleared device. Dock it at the bedside. Expand the menu through cleared analyzers. One platform that builds up over time.
Laser device
Energy-based micro-invasion accesses a capillary sample without a steel lancet.

Aponex Dock
The dock turns the handheld into a docked clinical workstation, designed for hospital use.

Analyzer integration
Designed to connect with cleared predicate analyzers, broadening the bedside menu parameter by parameter, without a new device in the clinician's hand.

Why Aponex
Pulsed Er:YAG laser, matched to water's absorption peak.
Designed penetration depth at the point of capillary access.
Smaller spot size, faster heal time.
Aponex LaserDx
A laser blood-acquisition device and an expandable bedside platform.
